The processing of food requires large quantities of water. Food is washed, whereby dirt and food residues end up in the waste water. Production facilities must be cleaned hygienically, which can result in acidic and alkaline wastewater. When processing fats, virgin oils, milk, and dairy products, these also end up in the waste water. The use of detergents emulsifies the wastewater so that oils and fats can no longer be adequately separated in a conventional grease separator.

What solutions does OKO-tech offer for this wastewater?
The OKO-rosi rotary screen is used to separate coarse particles > 3 mm from wastewater. OKO-rosi can continuously remove coarse particles from wastewater, even from high volume flows of up to 60 m³/h. Emulsified fats and virgin oils can be removed from the wastewater by OKO-aquaclean flotation systems after demulsification. If necessary, the wastewater can also be neutralised simultaneously in the OKO-aquaclean flotation systems.
