Steelworks use large quantities of cooling water during production and processing of steel. This cooling water is contaminated with scale from the workpieces as well as with grease and oil from the conveying and transport equipment. This wastewater must be treated before it is reused as cooling water or before it is discharged indirectly into the sewage system.

What solutions does OKO-tech offer for this wastewater?
What solutions does OKO-tech offer for this wastewater?
As scale has a high specific weight, it can be effectively removed by sedimentation in a lamella separator. If the wastewater contains finely dispersed scale particles, these fine particles can be coagulated into larger particles. They can then also be removed from the wastewater by sedimentation in a lamella separator.
Fats and oils can be removed from the wastewater using an OKO-aquaclean flotation system in a safe and energy-efficient manner.
